Desert View Annex: commissary and sending money

How to put money on an account at Desert View Annex

This is a federal facility, so money is sent through the Federal Bureau of Prisons' national system, not a state or county vendor. You'll need your loved one's register number. See our federal prison commissary guide for the current options.

Before any deposit, have your loved one's full name and ID number ready, and check the fee. Fees vary by company and by payment method.

Finding your loved one

Use the Bureau of Prisons inmate locator to confirm the facility and register number.

What commissary covers

Commissary sells food, hygiene items, stamps and writing supplies, and sometimes clothing or electronics. Each facility sets its own list and prices. Read more in our commissary list guide.
